April 21 has no owner yet

On April 21, 753 BC, according to tradition, Rome was founded by Romulus — legendarily the first of the seven kings of Rome. The city, born among the hills of Latium on the banks of the Tiber, would become the capital of the greatest empire in Western history. April 21 is celebrated today as Natale di Roma (Rome's birthday) with official city festivities.

On April 21, 1926, Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born at 17 Bruton Street, London — who on February 6, 1952 became Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. With a reign of more than 70 years — the longest in British history — she governed alongside more than 15 Prime Ministers from Winston Churchill to Liz Truss. She died on September 8, 2022 aged 96.

On April 21, 1960, Brasília, the new capital of Brazil, was inaugurated — built from scratch in the interior of the country in just four years. The project, driven by President Juscelino Kubitschek and designed by urban planner Lúcio Costa and architect Oscar Niemeyer, was the greatest planned urban construction project of the twentieth century. Brasília is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
