July 6 has no owner yet

On July 6, 1253, Mindaugas was crowned as the first and only King of Lithuania with the blessing of Pope Innocent IV, becoming the only Lithuanian monarch recognised by the Western Christian world. His coronation represented an attempt to integrate Lithuania into medieval Christian Europe, though the country reverted to paganism after his assassination in 1263.

On July 6, 1885, French scientist Louis Pasteur successfully administered the rabies vaccine to a human being for the first time: young Joseph Meister, aged 9, who had been severely bitten by a rabid dog. The boy survived. It was a triumph of experimental science and the beginning of the era of modern vaccines, which would save hundreds of millions of lives in the following centuries.

On July 6, 1964, Malawi — then known as Nyasaland — gained independence from the United Kingdom, with Hastings Banda as its first Prime Minister. Banda subsequently became President for Life and ruled the country with an iron fist for thirty years until democratic pressures in the 1990s forced him to hold multiparty elections in 1994.
