November 25 has no owner yet

On November 25, 1936, Germany and the Empire of Japan signed the Anti-Comintern Pact, an alliance treaty directed against the Soviet Union and international communism. A year later Italy joined. The agreement was the embryo of the Rome-Berlin-Tokyo Axis, the alliance that would confront the Western democracies and the USSR in World War II.

On November 25, 1970, Japanese writer Yukio Mishima stormed a military headquarters in Tokyo with a group of followers and attempted to incite a coup to restore the Emperor's power. Upon failure, he delivered a speech from the balcony and performed seppuku — ritual suicide — before the troops. Mishima was one of the most important novelists in contemporary Japan.

On November 25, 1975, Suriname gained independence from the Netherlands, becoming the smallest sovereign state in South America. The country, located in the northeast of the continent, is the only one in South America whose official language is Dutch. Independence was celebrated but also triggered a mass emigration to the Netherlands.
