March 8 has no owner yet

On March 8, International Women's Day has its roots in textile workers' demonstrations in New York demanding better working conditions at the start of the twentieth century. The date was officially recognised by the UN in 1977. In 1917, Russian women who demonstrated on this day triggered the February Revolution that would topple the Tsar and open the era of twentieth-century revolutions.

On March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 with 239 people on board disappeared during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Despite being the most expensive aerial search in history, the plane was never found, making it the greatest mystery of modern civil aviation. Small fragments of the fuselage appeared on beaches in the Indian Ocean between 2015 and 2016.

On March 8, 1917 (February 23 by the Julian calendar), the February Revolution began in Petrograd when thousands of women workers took to the streets demanding bread and peace. The demonstrations spread rapidly, the army joined the revolutionaries, and Tsar Nicholas II abdicated on March 15. The revolution paved the way for the Bolshevik seizure of power in October.
