What happened on February 25?
On February 25, 1964, young boxer Cassius Clay defeated world champion Sonny Liston in Miami and was proclaimed world heavyweight champion. The following day, Clay announced his conversion to Islam and adopted the name Muhammad Ali. Considered the greatest boxer of all time, Ali added a political dimension to his sporting career by refusing to fight in Vietnam on religious grounds.
On February 25, 1986, Ferdinand Marcos fled Philippines to Hawaii by helicopter, ending 21 years of dictatorship, following the People Power Revolution that paralysed Manila for four days. Corazon Aquino, widow of the assassinated opposition leader Benigno Aquino, was proclaimed president. The peaceful transition became a model of democratic change for movements worldwide.
On February 25, 1956, Soviet Communist Party First Secretary Nikita Khrushchev delivered his "secret speech" to the 20th Congress of the CPSU, denouncing Stalin's crimes and the cult of personality. The speech, leaked to the Western press weeks later, shook the international communist movement and initiated the process of de-Stalinisation in the USSR.

Herbert Manfred "Zeppo" Marx was an American comedic actor and businessman. He was the youngest, and last survivor, of the five Marx Brothers. He appeared with his brothers on Broadway during the 1920s and in the first five Marx Brothers feature films from 1929 to 1933, usually performing in a more subdued style than his brothers and serving as a romantic lead and/or straight man.
